Restaurants in Garden City

Visitors may come to Garden City primarily for the beach, but that’s certainly not all this community has to offer. Much like the rest of the Grand Strand, you’ll find no shortage of restaurants that provide both the delicious food and fun atmosphere you’re looking for.

Below is a list we compiled of some of the best restaurants in Garden City for you to enjoy during your stay.

Greg’s Cabana Bar & Grill

Greg’s Cabana is your friendly neighborhood bar and grill between The Garden City Connector Road that connects Business 17 to Highway 17 Bypass and Atlantic Avenue. They have one of the best grill menus and daily specials in town. If you’re looking to catch a game while enjoying delicious food with locals and visitors alike, then this joint is for you.

We recommend you start with one of their delectable appetizers like the Inlet Crab Dip and Beer Battered Pickle Spears. Greg’s signature burger, the Cheeseburger in Paradise, is a good-ole 8oz American beef patty topped with melted American cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. They also have ribs, sandwiches, salads, and make sure to ask for the dessert of the day.

Crab Daddy’s Seafood Buffet

Crab Daddy’s Seafood Buffet is a favorite among seafood buffets on the Grand Strand. They’re located a little bit south of Myrtle Beach and just a stone’s throw away from Huntington Beach State Park and Brookgreen Gardens. You won’t miss them either. Their bright red facade just takes your attention and invites you in to gorge yourself with good food.

Crab Daddy’s Seafood Buffet has over a hundred buffet items: crab legs, lobster, oysters, and shrimps. If you’re not into seafood, they also have steaks, salads, Lowcountry favorites, and desserts on the buffet line. And if you’re not looking for a full buffet, the also offer Surf & Turf options. However, once you come inside and see that buffet line filled to the brim and smelling delectable, you just might get up and line up.

Southside Grill

Southside Grill is a family-owned restaurant opened by former Pittsburgh locals Mimi and Rick McKee. It’s a quaint little hole-in-the-wall you’ll find in a strip shopping center along Inlet Square Drive. It used to be a true hidden gem and local spot. However, the people’s raving recommendations quickly turned this spot into a tourist restaurants as well.

The prices here are reasonable, but their food is extraordinarily excellent. The Grouper ala Kim is a creative take on grilled grouper — it’s paired with fresh crab and cheese. Southside Grill also serves juicy burgers, tasty quesadillas, and crisp salads. You must leave room for dessert. Mimi handmakes all the desserts on the menu, and you absolutely should sample them. We recommend going for their Carrot Cake and the Blackberry-Oreo Cheesecake.

Pacino’s Mediterranean Grille

Pacino’s Mediterranean Grille is a quaint restaurant with an intimate and cozy vibe. Their menu specializes in a unique combination of fabulous Italian cuisine and hearty Lebanese fare. They’ve crafted their menu using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients available. Pacino’s is the kind of restaurant where if you try them once, you’ll keep coming back for more.

Pacino’s has a very varied menu, but you can find Italian classics like Spaghetti, Mannacoti, and Lasagna. There are also Mediterranean favorites such as Shawarma, Kabobs, and their crowd-favorite Hummus. You must also give their Spumoni Cheesecake and Chocolate Souffle a try. If you’re looking to try Pacino’s, keep in mind that this is a fairly popular establishment, so we recommend making reservations early.

La Trattoria

La Trattoria is a quaint dive that serves delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. This hidden gem boasts an elegant dining room that provides a sophisticated atmosphere and elevates your experience to new bounds. They are cozy and picturesque, perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner. Their prices are reasonable, and their service is top-notch.

If you’re in the mood for seafood, their Grouper Renee is a hefty and hearty portion of light, tasty and fresh fish. Other notable crowd favorites are the perfectly cooked and tender Veal Parmigiana, their beautifully fried Calamari, seafood risotto, and lasagna. Remember to try a slice of their light and heavenly Limoncello and cannolis. Not many people know this family-owned restaurant, and it would be best for your Garden City trip to stop by and have a bite at the La Trattoria.

Millstone Biscuit Co.

Millstone Biscuit Co. is a welcome new addition to the breakfast scene of Garden City. As the name suggests, they’ve mastered creating biscuits and created a menu to show it. When you think of biscuits, you may think of sad, crusty, and dry pieces of cooked dough. However, Millstone is proof that when biscuits are done right, you’ll get a delicious breakfast that’ll be hard to match.

At Millstone Biscuit Co, you can enjoy classic breakfast biscuits like bacon, sausage, eggs, and cheeses. But of course, you’d want to try their specialties like the Biscuit on the Bayou, topped with crawfish gravy and Andouille Sausage. For lunch, they also serve burgers and salads. Getting breakfast at Millstone Biscuit Co. will surely kick off a lovely day in Garden City Beach.

The Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co.

*The Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co. is TEMPORARILY CLOSED

The Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co. has been serving the friendly people of Garden City Beach for nearly a decade. Seated in the Oasis Plaza a little bit off Patrick Road, it’s a hole-in-the-wall that you really would want to visit. It provides a relaxing dining experience with friendly staff and delicious meals at affordable prices.

As their name suggests, they serve a wide variety of grilled cheese sandwiches along with seafood, like U-Peel Shrimp and Tiki Bay Shrimp. Try their crowd-favorite Crabmelt — a Maryland-style Crab Cake stuffed between Texas Toast and oozing Monterey Jack and tomato slices. They offer beers, wines, and seltzers to drive their tasty meals home. If you’re hankering for comfort food in a comfortable, no-frills setting, The Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co. is the joint for you.
