Experience South Carolina

Restaurants in Greer

Greer is the quaint little suburban haven of South Carolina. The people of Greer are friendly, tight-knit, and welcoming. It’s a city you can easily fall in love with, and you’ll get the feeling that you’ve always been a part of Greer. The downtown preservation and growth project of this city began in 2019, bringing a lot of new businesses and experiences in. Here are some restaurants you need to experience on your visit to Greer.

L’INCANTO

Along Poinsett Street, you’ll find one of the most charming restaurants in downtown Greer — L’INCANTO. They’ve been serving good Northern Italian fare since late 2018. Although the restaurant is quite young in Greer, the chef and manager have over decades of experience that gives L’INCANTO an enchanting edge over its competition.

If you’ve ever been to Italy, this will feel like the real thing. If not, then this is the closest you’ll get without actually flying to Italy. You must try their decadent Agnolotti, filled with butternut squash and topped with the most amazing sage brown butter sauce. They also serve a beautiful pancetta-wrapped pheasant breast, served with broccoli rabe and rabbit sausage. L’INCANTO is a must-visit to quench your fine dining needs.

Laurenda’s Family Restaurant & Catering

Laurenda’s Family Restaurant & Catering is a quaint little unpretentious restaurant on Line Street. They serve country comfort food that’s designed to leave you satisfied. All their food is from family recipes and is made from scratch and with love. Their friendly and attentive staff have been with them for years, so you can approach them if you have questions about the menu.

The food here is served in an old-school cafeteria line style, which makes for quite an experience. You must not miss out on the fried chicken. It is moist and tasty, and the crispy skin is a real treat. The mac’-and-cheese and hushpuppies are also not to be slept on. No matter what you order, you’ll find that Laurenda’s is country comfort cooking — just like what grandma used to make.

A&P Restaurant

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat with your family, then head on to A&P Restaurant. It’s a hole-in-the-wall on Main Street that you wouldn’t want to miss. A&P’s is a family diner that serves American staples and favorites. There aren’t any heat lamps or microwave chefs here at A&P’s. Instead, your food is made and served fresh each and every time.

They have great meats on stock — we recommend you order their 12oz Porkchop Plate and the Sirloin Tips and Shrimp Plate. They also serve “meat-and” meals, where you can choose up to three veggie sides with a protein of your choice. A&P’s also serve juicy burgers, fresh seafood, filling subs and delicious hotdogs. So if you’re looking for comfort food in Greer, this is the spot for you.

Mutt's BBQ Restaurant

Mutt’s BBQ Restaurant is what you get when a family tradition becomes a restaurant. Good ‘ol Southern ‘cue shared with good people. With this much family history in a restaurant, you could say they’ve extended this family into the whole of Greer. Mutt’s has been serving the good folk of Greer since 1998 with recipes passed on from family.

One of the treats that Mutt’s BBQ offers is their pulled pork, which is hard to get right. Somehow, they not only do it right, but they also do it good. They also have fall-off-the-bone tender ribs that we just don’t have enough positive adjectives for. You can also find Southern favorites here, like fried chicken, slaws, and Brunswick stews.

Dellaventura's Pizzeria

Dellaventura’s Pizzeria is a locally-owned and critically-acclaimed Italian restaurant along Buncombe Road. The owners, The Dellaventuras, have a long history of successful pizzerias and restaurants on their sleeves. This kind of heritage has led to the perfection of family recipes that they serve to the people of Greer today.

Start your delicious meal at Dellaventura’s with their garlic bread and Grandma’s Fried Meatballs. They serve moist and juicy wings to fill you up, along with pizzas, calzones, pasta, and subs. To finish up, dive into their tasty cannoli and their famed Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake. If you’re looking for a lowkey spot to enjoy Italian comfort food, Dellaventura’s is the place for you.

SELECT

SELECT is a warm and welcoming restaurant right along Trade Street. Their food is a careful craft that can be called nothing short of art. Everything about this restaurant has been carefully considered — from the lighting to the decorative artwork — to give you a memorable dining experience.

SELECT’s pretty and tasty appetizers like their Whistlestop Fried Dream Tomatoes and Bourgeois Bellos will get you in the mood to dine. They have a selection of top-notch meats cooked to perfection. You must try their Candy Chop — a bone-in Frech Cut pork chop with spiced candied apples, fresh collard greens, and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. They also have salads, sandwiches and desserts that are all to die for.

The Bleu Porch Kitchen

The Bleu Porch Kitchen is a homey, low-key restaurant nestled on Main Street. Although this restaurant only came to being in 2016, they have had experience serving good food through their catering operations since 2008. This cozy little home to good food emphasizes their love of fresh ingredients, no-frills cooking, and a friendly atmosphere.

What leads people to keep coming back to The Bleu Porch is that their meals are a daily surprise. The talented chefs create a new quiche daily so that you can get new flavors for every visit. They also have homemade desserts and seasonal, locally sourced salads that will never disappoint. So if you’re cruising through Main Street and you see what looks like a house with a blue porch, do yourself a favor and stop by.

Clock Restaurant

Clock Restaurant has been serving the town of Greer since the late ’50s, making it a town classic and local favorite. It was once a drive-in but has broadened its offerings with Southern stapes to keep up with the times. They specialize in classic offerings like cheeseburgers, clubs, “meat-and-threes,” and homemade onion rings and hushpuppies.

Their famous burgers are huge and made to fill you up — all of which are served with a serving of coleslaw and french fries or fresh fruit. The Clock Restaurant also serves barbeque sandwiches and moist, crispy fried chicken. They also offer classically good milkshakes and desserts. So do yourself a favor and dine like a local at the Clock Restaurant.

RiffRaff Bar and Grill

The RiffRaff Bar and Grill is a town favorite that you’ll find along W Wade Hampton Boulevard. While it’s got an unassuming facade, you’ll regret driving past this joint. It’s got that cool atmosphere that makes you want to crack open a cold one and kick back, relax and chow down on one of the best bar food in Greer.

The RiffRaff Bar and Grill is no riff-raff — they’re filled with good people and experienced servers that’ll give you a good time. Their Loaded Bacon and Cheese Fries and Quesadilla Grande are Shareable that’ll satisfy the table. Furthermore, they serve juicy burgers, nachos and chips to go along with their great selection of drinks. They also advocate for animal welfare and rescue, so if you’re down to support the good guys, RiffRaff Bar and Grill is the place you want to be in.
